Ethereum for Developers I

An Introduction to Ethereum & Web3.js

About the Course

Ethereum is a computing platform that is backed by a public blockchain. It has a powerful scripting language which is Turing-complete, meaning that the logic of any real-world software application can be reproduced on the Ethereum blockchain. Hundreds of teams around the are working on protocols and applications leveraging this platform.

In this engineering-focused course, we will explore the design decisions that went into building the platform and also build a small project to interact with the Ethereum blockchain using web3.js

Learning Outcomes

Use web3.js to build a simple application that interacts with the Ethereum network.
Understand the history and philosophy behind why Ethereum was created.
Learn the mechanics of how the Ethereum network regulates itself.
Understand the different tools and terminology used in the Ethereum ecosystem.
